Dr. Treihaft graduated from Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, NY in 1991. After graduating he went on to complete an internal medicine residency at Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New Hyde Park, NY. During his initial residency, Dr. Treihaft was awarded Resident of the Year, in 1994. He was subsequently appointed as the Chief Medical Resident at Long Island Jewish Medical Center. After his time as Chief Medical Resident, he started his own practice before joining the doctors at North Shore Medical Group.
Dr. Leonard Treihaft is a board certified internal medical specialist and has been practicing at North Shore Cardiac Imaging Family Medical Health for the past 25 years. He has professional affiliations with NYU Hospitals, North Shore University Hospital, Manhasset, and Long Island Jewish Medical Center, in New Hyde Park, NY.
