Renal Artery Doppler

Renal artery doppler is a non-invasive ultrasound test that uses sound waves to take images of the blood flow in and out of the kidneys. The blood vessels from the aorta to each kidney are viewed as well as the tiny blood vessels in each kidney.

If you have high blood pressure your doctor may request this test to be done to make sure you have no blockages or narrowing of the arteries and to check for existing renal diseases.
